Fest Kernewek, a festival of Cornish language on June 15th

A festival of Cornish language music, poetry and storytelling. The line-up of bands includes to date: Tir ha Tavas, Mammvro, Teyr, Tom O'Reilly and The Swaggers, Legest Frankenstein, Desperate Measures and Skwardya. Cornish rock legends Hanterhir headline the evening along with The Rowan Tree, winners of the 2018 Kan rag Kernow competition and of the Liet International Song competition and local band Black Eyed Nancy who have just won the 2019 Kan rag Kernow and will representing Cornwall at the Pan Celtic Festival in Ireland at Easter.. Entrance to the day and evening music programme by ticket. Free entrance to the outside busking stage (programme to be announced), stalls and other activities.

And if you don't speak Cornish? Don't worry - there will be bilingual introductions, the music is great and you can learn a bit along the way. The event is organised as part of the 2019 Speak Cornish event organised by Rosweyth. Tickets £10 in advance and £12 on the door.
